Joe is asked to come over to the campsite, as they have found a reef. The area below the reef may contain fine gold, which would be good for Goldzilla, and it is exactly what they are looking for. They are excited, as this type of discovery is rare. They find a solid reef, and it is exciting to hear the sound of gold when they listen to the hole. They need some tools to get into it, as it is fairly solid, and they don’t want to spend all day swinging a pick. After an hour, they manage to unearth 30 kilos of calcrete-covered gold.

At Area 51, 225 kilometers away, the Dirt Dogs could be on a jackpot. They found a gold reef, but they have no idea how deep it goes. This type of reef normally lasts two feet at the maximum, but this one appears to be continuing down.
Meanwhile, at the base camp, Carly is crushing the first Cal Creek covered nuggets in Mozilla. She has to flush out the remaining rock and dust fragments to reveal gold that was embedded in the Calcrete. It is the payoff for the hours of work they spend on this thing, as they filed the gold. They manage to find about 10 grams of gold in just 15 minutes of running the machine.
